dedicated server help needed.

Recommended Posts

Me and my friend are trying to set up a cs:go dedicated server rigged for tournament with 100 players.
I have not played CS since half life, so i had to read up on it.

Getting the software - check,  installing said software- check, launching a server - check, saying hi to players via console - check.
Gonfiguring said server for a standard ESL 5v5 match tournament - not even close to check.

I probebly got myself into a tunnel vision situation, becouse no matter how many tutorials i read or watch i can't get past the basic manual server launched by default.

Any skilled server guru wan't to help?

Never mind.

Aparently we did it right the whole time, but something was bugged with the SteamCMD so it did not respond corectly to our comnands.

Reinstalled and now working.

short ansver, nope.
and i agree, the documentation is crap. and most tutorials are not well written.
I will se if i can get together with the one in our group who finaly got it working and see if we can offer you some help.

but i'm still note sure if we actualy knew what we where doing or if SteamCMD just got tired of us trying and decided to start working.

That would be awesome, but I think it would be more awesome if you/he wrote a tutorial that actually worked :)
